Hair Care

I love my hair and I love to treat it well....I did go to beauty school so I have some background in hair care :) always make sure to treat your hair with love I'm not saying it makes you who you are but it represents you and how you take care of yourself. I am a firm believer in not coloring your hair to often I know I know it sounds weird cause beauticians make money off of coloring hair but it's just not necessary to color you hair every month or multiple times a month it damages it!!!!! And that's for people who have gray hair, but then again that's my opinion. Please wash your hair but don't strip it of it's natural oils,it is recommended to wash your hair every other day. Your hair needs those natural oils. Second, have patience with your hair I know it gets tangled but always brush your hair from bottom to top so you wont break your hair. Third wash your hair with your fingertips not your nails you don't want to cut your scalp and have lesions on your scalp ouch! Four, if your trying to let your hair grow don't cut it every month, your cutting what grew off! Five, hair products are important and one thing I learned in school was that store brands like the ones they sell at target, walmart, rite aid and walgreens are not good for your hair they are so bad. So for the past 2 years I've tried many many products and I know there's still some I need to try but I'll give you my absolute favorite hair products. These are professional hair products, they are pricey but worth it they will make your hair feel awesome!!!! KMS: add volume shampoo;body builder detangler; styling foam; root and body lift; volumizing spray. This line will really give you the bang you want in your hair. Moist repair shampoo & conditioner; leave in conditioner; revival creme; therapy treatment. Need a solution for your dry damaged hair these products will do the job. Enjoy: luxury sulfate free shampoo and conditioner; instant reconstructor; leave in conditioner; hair mask. This line is amazing I love it. Paul Mitchel if you love the beach this is the perfect hair line for you. But I love the tea tree shampoo & conditioner; tea tree hair & scalp treatment. This line made my scalp feel so fresh. Joico: moisture recovery shampoo & conditioner; moisture recovery lotion. Also the daily care line is great. So I hope you enjoyed this, and that I gave you helpful hair tips. And if you have hair products that you love that I didn't mention feel free to tell me I love trying new things. Xoxo.

  1. Hi Nancy,

I'm really enjoying your blog...and your right about the dying and sulfates.

I have really thin AND fine hair so it gets damaged very easily. I stopped dying my hair about 10 years ago, and it grows much faster now. I also started using Trader Joes Tea Tree shampoo and conditioner a few months ago...what a difference! Keep up the blog...I'm looking forward to more of your beauty tips!
